Species library

The purpose of the library is to present overview of available species' mathematical models; not textures or shaders, which may and will vary depending on a complexity of rendering methods and model polycount. These screenshots are just a previz, not a final rendered image. For a production quality output, please visit our gallery!

Important notes:

  • Every species' definition is an algorithm that, when executed in LindaGen, builds the 3D object of the plant. As such, it can be quickly altered – varying a seed of a random number generator, it is possible to generate endless variations of the species; different plant age, year vegetation phase, foliage density and more can be adjusted by varying project parameters.
  • Every project is strictly based on real world imagery, typically of European origin; although any, including fantastic species, can be created in LindaGen, our aim was to provide realistic models allowing rendering of real world landscapes so far.
  • Berries can be added to the geometry using flat faces, see a rowan tree as a sample. The technology may be enhanced with 3D models added to the geometry, if needed, too.
  • Basically, for all trees, there exist variants of a stand alone tree and a tree in a forest with different treetop layout. Not always shown in the gallery.
  • If You can't find species You need, please contact us, we are able to develop the project in few days in most cases.
Please roll the mouse cursor over any thumbnail image to get a name of a plant. Click to display a full scale image together with the name of that plant. Screen size of at least 1600x1200 pixels strongly recommended!
